RE:Here comes salmon season...
I've heard that they aren't actually eating the eggs, they are picking them up to deposit them upstream. But I have also heard they eat the eggs to eliminate competing genetic strains.
What do you guys think?
Either way, it seems eggs are the best thing to use in clear water.

I hope this sheds some light about whether or not fish will take bait once they enter fresh water. I lost a good fishing buddy/friend because after every fish I caught with eggs/shrimp/spoons/jigs/pink worm he would say I flossed the fish. I even sent him this same exact video. Sometimes you just have to cut negative people out of your life. I will say, he is missing out- MUAH!!donman wrote:Check out this video of salmon fighting each other while spawning

That sucks man! I know all about having to cut people out of your life. You win some, you lose some.jens wrote: I hope this sheds some light about whether or not fish will take bait once they enter fresh water. Yeah if you read some of the comments from the eggs video. The guy who created the video said there were many times he didnt even know he had a fish on.
And to floss or not to floss. If it's legal then let it be. There are worse things in the world to piss and complain about. Why do we fight about flossing?
RE:Here comes salmon season...
oh she ate it she slammed the drift gear and was taking line just as fast as she took it. and was hhoed in the inside of the moth quite a ways down. she loved the roe

Man that video was great. Both of them. Now I know why salmon look all beat to hell when they come back down the river as zombies, and seeing how much that fish was chewing on that roe was just nuts. Great video, thanks for sharing.

Can't stop lying can you? For one I have never seen you catch a fish with eggs, shrimps, spoons, or spinners. The only thing I ever see you catch anthing was with jig on a float and corky/yarn setup. I never mentioned flossing a a negative, only you emphasize as being negative since I mainly fish with corky/yarn set up. I have not had much success with other setup and of course I continue to try but I will use whatever setup might work. Remember you were the one accusing me of being a flosser/snaggers and you know darn well the truth. I don't care to fish with people that falsely accuse others, so I don't have any regrets, just leave us out of the forum, there is no further need for involving me into your discussions. I don't appreciate you trying to smear any negative comments about me. Just let it go.

@Scott, right on! Jeremiah . . . I mean um Fishinislife is a real cool guy, you'll get along with him just fine. Are you going to the Duc? Heard they're starting to pile in now. I wish I could go, but you know gotta preach this sunday. I'm thinking of going Monday down to the Cow, maybe they'll be some kings in there somewhere.
