Oops misread - I'm on it!

Do we need dog/burger buns?

Thinking a Home Page Banner or Flyer might get some steam going for this event.

I can bring the blue pop up tent again Mike.

Come on WL.com Fans, who's going? Lets break last years attendance record.

And Gringo, there is no way your winning this year. I've been juicing all off season and I have been the one holding the rings for the event sooooo.......out they come and practice begins.

Couple of pics from last years event to get everyone motivated....

MIke,, do you have the rules of the derby posted somewhere and maybe I missed it? Specificly (sp?) I'm talking about drivers meeting time?, rules, but mostly I'm talking about insurance issues on one's boat??

Unlike last year, this is strictly a casual derby. Boat insurance is your own call, always recommended. There won't be much in the way of a list of rules, it's strictly go, fish, have fun, bring back a big one. We'll have one winner for the biggest bass, and one for the biggest perch. Fishing will be from daybreak to noon, at which time food will be served. Weigh in at the picnic location (Dez or Fishnislife, can you bring a scale again?)

Prizes - to be announced. There will also be gifts for all from WL.com.

Ha! Good luck with that, this dude juiced all his life and I don't think it helped his casting. But the jumpsuit would look good on you...

I'm almost jealous of you west siders and would consider going if it wasn't such a long drive for just one to go.

But if I did, I'd bring the biggest bag of Ranch Doritos I can find... Costco sized bag. If only I could share a ride with a fellow east sider. :-({|=

Most of us have a lot of tackle, fishing gear, etc. that we don't use. I am wondering if people would be interested in bringing what you don't want anymore and having sort of a swap meet? I've got maybe 6 rods and 2-3 reels that I don't use. Of course there is lots of tackle in the box that maybe somebody else is more interested in than me.

Maybe some of the younger anglers could get set up without much effort.

I could do with some clearing out of stuff too (as well as a little xtra $$ for new stuff). Having never been to the park, would there be room for each to set out our wares on a tarp or something?

I agree, Dez and Gringo there is lots of ground space at Tapps, parking is the bust. If it is a hot day, the lot will fill quickly. Get there early. Beautiful lake with awesome views of Rainier. I am glad we are having the picnic early rather than late- it is an anglers dream in the mornings and a skiing/jetski nightmare in the PM.
