So does anyone know how crazy the little trout lakes on the east side get during free fishing weekend?

That's a pretty vague question. If you're asking if it is worth it to go then my answer is GET OUT THERE AND FISH! :bounce:
"When I grow up I want to be,
One of the harvesters of the sea.
I think before my days are done,
I want to be a fisherman."

I wouldn't expect it to be to crazy, nothing close to the opener. I use to avoid the lakes around these times but it
has grown on me...its kind of nice to meet other folks out there.

Everyone fish with two poles this weekend in legal two pole waters. No rivers, saltwater and certain lakes. Check the reg book before you go. Have fun everyone.

During those two days, no license will be required to fish or gather shellfish in any waters open to fishing in Washington state. Also, no vehicle use permit will be required during Free Fishing Weekend to park at any of the 600 water-access sites maintained by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW).

While no licenses are required on Free Fishing Weekend, other rules such as size limits, bag limits and closures will still be in effect. Anglers will also be required to complete a catch record card for any salmon, steelhead or sturgeon they catch.
