Looking for a prop, Johnson/Evinrude

Post by SnohoBassGuy » Mon Aug 04, 2008 10:38 am

Big dilemma here. I'm going to Banks in three weeks, and my plastic prop just broke on my 4hp Johnson motor. Its a three blade prop, but I dont know the pitch and diameter yet. I will be measuring it tonight, and editing this tomorrow for the details. I believe I need something in the 8 Pitch, 7" diameter area. I would prefer an aluminum one this time if possible. I am following a couple on eBay right now, but if anyone has one on this site, I would like to buy it. Thanks! More info to come...

Well, I'm hoping to go used if possible, to save money. I work right next to a propeller store, and at the moment $75-100 is too much for me.

Well, I went to "The Prop Shop" in Mukilteo yesterday. Me and the guy behind the counter had a tough time trying to find a replacement for the prop. Motor is a 76 4 hp Johnson, prop is approximately 8 Pitch x 7.5" diameter. He sold me one that he thought might work, but I got it home and didnt check out.

So, still looking.
