Here's another quote:

There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware
I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away

Just as true today as it was 40 years ago.

Stereotyping the youth of this nation for making an effort to get a higher education is absolutely wrong.

It is not the other countries like Russian we need to worry about. It is the people from within we should be cautious of. Here is another quote by a well known figure:

We need to defeat these bastards. We need to wipe them out. We need to chase them out of town......

That quote doesn't have to do with gun control, but rather, the spread of communism and socialism through our universities and higher education in general. Just think how liberal college kids are, until they get out and have to work for a living. Many of them change after reality hits.

That said, the same people that have tendencies towards socialism, also have a higher percentage of anti-gun sentiment.
But then when communists get in politics, the first then they would want to do is disarm the common citizen, then reduce the size of the military, then the military AND the people wouldn't be able to defend the country. And the people wouldn't be able to defend themselves AGAINST the military. Look at what happened to Germany. All private guns were removed from the private sector, then the nazis took over.

It was the Jews that gun control was enforced on, not all citizens of Germany.

I'm not stereotyping anyone for trying to get a higher education, merely pointing out the fact that their teachers tend to have a more socialist mindset than the average American and MANY of them use their position to push their own personal political bias onto their students.

On a side note, the song you qouted, goes along with gun control rather well. The whole reason we have the right to keep and carry arms, is because this nation was founded by people that KNEW government could not be trusted.
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware
To me this says the man is either oppressing the writer, or warning him of oppression.
You step out of line, the man come and take you away
Here it shows the distrust for the system, and fear of it.

The 2nd amendment was written to keep men from fearing the government. To insure that we could always protect ourselves from an oppressor. Any argument to the contrary is a blatant disregard for the lessons of history. The words were written right after a war with an oppressive government, by men that FEARED AND DISTRUSTED government, and provided the new federal government with the minimal amount of power needed to hold the states together in a union.

Now back to communism/socialism. Those ideas are actually GREAT. THEY ARE PERFECT. Everyone working together for the common good of the nation and thus everyone having a good life. What could possibly be wrong with that?!!!

Answer: Adding humans into the idea. Communism and Socialism have no way to prevent human greed and selfishness. The ONLY way to deal with those is through a liberated sociaty that has freedom of speech to make their voice heard, democracy to enforce their voices, and the right to keep and bear arms in case the first two fail, and their government oppresses them.

We need to defeat these bastards. We need to wipe them out. We need to chase them out of town
I'm not going to address this, other than to say, the guy is an extremist and a sensationalist, and is looking for ratings. It's no different than the news media telling us that SARS or H1N1 is going to kill millions of people. He's an entertainer after all.

I`m building me a cabin on the mountain and moving my family with all my guns. When they come I`m gonna pluck them off one by one.:-$

Yeah, the Predator is a nifty piece of hardware but you might want to consider that we've been using them against an insurgency in Afghanistan for almost 10 years now.:-"

I worked with Michael zottoli for several years at link conference service before it went out of business. Seemed like a great Guy I talked to him pretty much daily at the coffee pot. Very nice friendly Guy that ran our payroll department also handled the money accounts receivable.

Crazy small world we live in. He always enjoyed my fishing pics.
Hope you didn't tell him about your hot spots to fish...Jeez! I have noticed more Russians around the lakes and rivers....LOL!!

Fly Fishing is the art of attaching a fake bug to a line and relying on the appropriate manipulation of the rod to deceive the fish into eating a sharp steel hook covered with feathers and fur.
