How to upload a picture to your Forum post
First, post your message on the thread. Then when you see your message has posted you will see in the upper right corner "attach".
Click this and you'll get a box that allows you to find your picture on your computer. Click The next screen you'll see will direct you to search for the file on your computer. Once selected click "upload" and you're good to go.
Remember to downsize the photo for the web - under 200K is good, otherwise it may not upload (plus it adds to WL.com's storage costs). Send us a Feedback if you're having troubles with this.
I use this to resize pictures - it works great, is fast, and can do batches. It makes new copies resized and leaves the originals alone. And it's free.

yup, it's a great utility for quick resizing, and it does batches, even better!
Re: How to upload a picture to your Forum post
I don't have a problem uploading a picture but what has been happening, even before the upgrade, the photo won't show until I see it in the report when published. It use to show them as they uploaded. I know that they are there because the preview says 2 pictures.
Any one else have this problem?

Yeah, I know it's a problem... and I'm hard at work on a major site overhaul which will clear that problem up. Sorry.

That is OK Aaron. It was something I remembered when I did my report today, This site is a nice job and there are so many new things!

Re: How to upload a picture to your Forum post
Has something changed regarding how you upload an image to a forum post? I am completely familiar with how to do this. There should be the "Attach" icon in the upper right corner of the post, (After) you have posted it.
In my recent post in boating forum, there is no Attach. icon available. I realize that there is that thing about img/img.. etc. when you are in the edit portion. But that is for if you want to link to an online image.
What happened to attaching photos from one's hardrive?

The 'attach' feature is now below and to the left of where you type your reply. You also do the 'attach thingie' after you type and before you post your reply.

As far as I know, it's always been attach BEFORE you post.......... reports are also reviewed before they are actually posted as view-able to visitors or members.

Mark, no man,, I'm not talking about posting pics. in reports... I understand they are proof read first. I'm talking about attaching pics. to the forum threads. Weird,, not like I'm new on this thing... but somehow it has changed in the last upgrade. ( forum post pic. adding)

Re: How to upload a picture to your Forum post
Avatar images have very specific size requirements as far as number of pixels wide and tall. I have no idea what the new sizes are, so you will have to wait for Aaron or Mike to tell you.
Edit: If you look on the page where you edit your avatar it tells you the sizes. You will need an image editor that allows you to edit your image to these exact sizes.
Maximum dimensions; width: 176 pixels, height: 200 pixels, file size: 49.00 KiB.
