What a Great Story,
I bet He is a Pike Lover now!!! If He didn't know what they were before, I am guessing He does now, talk about being in the right place at the right time. I wonder if anyone told him that there are fish just like that one over at the Pend Oreille as well. Of course I suppose He wouldn't want to go that far if He can catch them right on the riverbank in Spokane. Thanks for sharing this article, very cool story, I am guessing you will see a lot more Pike Anglers down at the park in Spokane now! Maybe one day when I am back in the area I will give it a try too! Who knows maybe a 50 incher lurks, now that would be a story for sure.

How cool, in front of a bunch of witnesses no less.

Wonderful story indeed! Pike are becoming more common in the Spokane River.

That's always the best, when you hook a big one and everyone comes to gawk and watch you fight it. that's happened to me several times, and you end up having to boss them around out of your way, at least when dock fishing. Then the kids poke at it and the mothers eeeeeewwwww at it and the dad's go out and buy fishing licenses. Hehehe.Matt wrote:How cool, in front of a bunch of witnesses no less.
I've always wanted to catch a pike. They look wicked cool.

That's awesome!
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker
