The state park has camping. If it fills up there is the city park in chelan or 25 mile state park uplake from chelan state park. Both are around 8 miles away. Potluck item whatever you want, I think we need chips.

Hey everyone, we're in the final days before our Get-together and I'd like to ask for help from the members for a few last minute things to make it all go smoothly.

Water and Pop - We need enough for around a hundred people. If I could have a few members bring a case of water and/or a 24 pack of pop that would be great.

Chairs - I'm told there are plenty of picnic tables, but it can't hurt to bring your own yard chairs. Be sure to clearly mark them with your name.

Tables - ditto on the tables. If you have one you can bring it would be greatly appreciated.

The weather forecast is for 71-74, partly to mostly sunny. Perfect weather for a Get-together! The NWFR crew and sponsors are looking forward to meeting you all. See you Saturday!

Mike I will pick up two cases of water. So do I need a discovery pass to come to the get together? We are not camping there.

Here is some updated information on discovery pass :

Exemptions
Your purchase of the Discover Pass supports recreation on state lands. However, you do not need to purchase the pass under the following circumstances:
If you are camping or renting overnight accommodations, including vacation houses, environmental learning centers, yurts, and cabins, you will not need a Discover Pass for access to the state park where you are staying for the duration of your stay. If you visit other state parks in the area or other state recreation lands managed by WDFW or DNR, a Discover Pass will be required.
Disabled veterans and other Washington State Parks pass holders registered through Washington State Parks do not need to purchase a Discover Pass for access to Washington state parks. You will need to purchase the Discover Pass for access to lands managed by WDFW and DNR. To apply for a State Parks pass, complete and submit the appropriate pass application.
You will not need a Discover Pass to launch your boat from a state park boat launch if you have the annual Natural Investment Permit. You will need the Discover Pass for boat launches managed by DNR and WDFW.
Sno-Park seasonal permit holders do not need a Discover Pass to use a designated Sno-Park between November 1 and March 31 for winter recreation activities. The Sno-Park permit exemption does not apply to non-winter recreation activities.

thanks for the update and the water/pop guys, that puts my mind at ease we won't all go thirsty, LOL. For day use I would think one could buy the pass at the ranger station? Otherwise, there is a Walmart in Chelan that would sell that kind of stuff I think.

Held out hope until the last minute but just not going to be able to get out there this weekend. Hope you all have a fantastic time and know I am there in spirit. Also rest assured that I will be hammering Lake Stevens in the morning to try and take up the slack for those west siders that are over there for the get together.
