How many of you guy are using a fluid bed when powder coating jig heads. If so, how did you make your fluid bed? Where did you get the material to make the fluid bed and is there anything different or modification you would make if you were going to do it again. Do you have any pictures you don't mind sharing.

Thanks

I have not got around to it, but it does make Powder Coating Jigs much better.

I offer the following links to research I have done before.

http://www.wafish.com/profiles/blogs/fl ... for-powder" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You can probably find something on this site as well:

I hope this helps you out.

well worth building (don't buy one) If I where building another one I would use 2 inch material then yu can run it with less powder and I don't know of any benefit if using 3 or 4 inch if you are just doing jigs.
The benefit of using one vs. dipping in jar is that you can quickly put 2-3 light coats on your jig and when curing your paint you get no sag or cone heads. Those that have cured jigs after dipping in jar know what I am talking about. If you are going to do many jigs it is well worth using a fluid bed.
Do some googling and you will find all kinds of info on how to build, they are super simple.

Bought one off ebay and it actually works quite well. I think it was only about $40. I had thought about making one, but for $40 I figured it probably wasn't worth my time.
