saltwater fishing

first off let me start by saying hello to all my fellow anglers both men and women alike. its been a long time since i have been on here and for that i am sorry. i am bacck and on the attack. thinking of going out to the puget sound this weekend to do a little fishing for salmon and was wondering if any of you can give me some good spots to try for my prey?

Welcome back TAzdaddy. If you are fishing in Puget Sound this weekend for salmon, you must be fishing from partiuclar piers, 'cause there isn't any legal salmon fishing in the Sound, at least that I'm aware of until June 1st. except for some of the piers. But then... maybe some obscure Marine Area...

thanks for the info quadfather, but when you say from piers which ones are you thinking about? and are you serious you cant catch any salmon out there? how about out by point no point?

Just check your regulation book. Several areas are open till mid April for salmon like area 7, 8-1, 8-2, 9. The only emergency rule change for area 9 is that you can only keep one salmon instead of two. So get out there while we have a good weather window because it won't last.

That is correct Adam, thanks for pointing it out in those areas. My point really was just that people should really be aware and read the regs. It's not always the situation that one thinks. As far as which piers to fish, that the person asked about....again, i say read it in the regs. Link is a PDF on this site's home page.
