Littleriver is semi correct: Yes salmon species will fight like they normally do MOST of the time. But not ALL of the time....

I've had big silvers tear off line going straight down (like Kings normally do) instead of going to the surface like a silver should, and on Thursday I hooked into a big king which fought like a silver, but when brought by the boat, it turned to be a big kind which had to be released to swim another day....
