Im getting the pinks itch!!! when can i have at em?

Not trying to hijack the thread. I`m not a salmon guy so I`m wondering if the pink run is supposed to be like the last one. I live a few miles from the green and could still smell them. Went down to see what was going on and the river looked like it was ALIVE!!! Just wondering if it`s gonna be as good this year?

It might even be larger.

If trends go the way they have - larger. But I read somewhere that it is not supposed to match last years. But then again, the limit in the green I think is 6 fish, so that kind of gives you an idea that they are anticipating a bunch of em..

I read a report today on Salmon University that they are calling for the best pink run in over 20 years! The dude at Triangle Tackle in Snohomish sayed that he talked to a few folks that have hooked a few on the snohomish plunking already. Im going to go get my Kings in the morning and if we limit out early, gonna go throw some pink gear in the water and see what happens. Anyone else gonna be on Possession bar this weekend? Ill be the guy in the old ugly green duckworth on the west side.

Pinks are already in the straits, tough to give a firm date on when they'll be here in the sound, but the peak of the run is usually mid or late August....This year may be earlier?

Will be in the Possess. area this weekend, will look for your boat. Did some recon work over the past few days, lots of bait and lots of stuff marking on the finder... Should be a good opener, the tides aren't ideal but thats not gonna stop anyone....

Went to Dash Pt for maybe 20 minutes, nobody had anything. No pinks yet. No blood or scales on any of the cutting boards nor on the pier. 1 guy fishing 'nooks and I think 4 people fishing pinks all on the pier. Even the often reliable guys fishing for flounder were struggling to get much flounder today.

Been seeing a few out in A9, Everett has been getting a handfull, and Shilshole as well. They are coming, within 2-3 weeks there will be enough to catch I would say.

I saw a school go by the dock at my dads place in Olympia. About 9 or ten pinks went right through his marina. So they're coming any minute now. You know you're anticipating them now, but when you're struggling for a coho for all the humpies you'll be missing last year already. Heheheh.

The part I won't like so much tho will be having my left shoulder touching someone's right shoulder and my right shoulder touching someone's left while 'fishing' for them LOL. If I can endure that, I will treasure every one of them bonked buggers. I promise:)

I hear you man. My wife will be letting me out a lot more too. I don't mind the combat fishing half as much as most guys do so long as there are fish in front of me.
