Poacher X Taunts Idaho Fish and Game via Mail

Post by MikeFishes » Tue Nov 16, 2010 4:33 pm

I'm not a hunter, but I'm very much against poaching. It'd be nice to see this guy get his dues.

BOISE, Idaho —
Idaho Fish and Game is seeking help in identifying the person who wrote to the agency bragging about recently poaching a deer.

On Nov. 12, the agency received a letter from "Poacher X" that included photos of a buck the writer reported poaching in northern Idaho...
Apparently the letters are being mailed through Everett.

I read that on channel 4's web page a little bit ago. Hope he gets caught/turned in real soon. He sounds like a REAL IDIOT!

If they're smart they'll dust for prints and odds are he's got a record over here. Otherwise that's really obnoxious. I wish people would just follow the rules otherwise they're gonna shut us all down.

Better yet, a DNA test on the envelope flap.

I bet he didn't poach the deer he is probably just mad at ID f&w and thought it would be funny. I hope people don't waste to many resources trying to find him I am sure that is what he wants... Just outside of town here someone poached a moose right off the side of the road field dressed it and was gone with the carcass. They are offering a $5,000 reward and still have no leads. I really doubt that the guy in WA will be caught.... Marc there is no way the ID officials will spend the $ or time doing a DNA test...

I was just thinking that Taz. Can they verify the picture date?

Probably disgruntled about something and just wasting the Fish and Games resources. Either way, it gonna be a legal issue when he's caught.

Not to bright.

Let's see. If he printed the picture on a color laser printer, the printer will print the serial number and manufacturing code on the picture. So that's a good lead. Although, I'm not sure about pictures printed at your local store (photos), but those also have an ID on the back (batch numbers?).

Im not sure ALL color printers do that do they? I saw that on a TV show once but...

My mind was in the original pic. The story says PHOTOS so my mind thinks film.
