Hey all,
I've been using herring, unsuccessfully, in Kitsap county in lakes I've been told there are crawfish. Has anybody had any luck using herring as a bait? I have used fresh trout in eastern Washington successfully and I wonder if I need to do the same here. All comments welcome, thanks.

Personally I find the best bait in a crawfish trap is a can of fishy catfood. I pierce hole in the can and put it in the trap. Now that's just me. Good luck

let me know if you have any luck in KC. I myself was going to try some lakes around here. What lake did you drop your traps in?

Right now I've tried Fairview lake, seems to be way to muddy and I haven't seen any evidence of craws being in that lake. And I've tried Wicks Lake as well. I just got access to a kayak so I'll probably expand my search now!
