For those who dont know that some of the best melons come from the Great Northwest.Musk melons,Cantalope,Watermelons in 6 varieties,Crenshaws,Honeydews,Canary ,and Casabas are just some of whats for sale in the Northwest farming areas.Hermistons are the best watermelons out there.I bought 2 yellow watermelons last week. Those are even better then reds.

For Diabetics or just good health melons are a great fruit to eat.In diabetes or weight loss you can eat about 1/3 of a melon and not blow your sugars up.Our season isnt real long but the quality of our melons are superb.Serving a slice of melon along with a fresh salmon dinner cant be beat.Melons clean your pallet so you can taste better.Remember buy local, support our farmers Buy N.W products.

When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

Melons actually grow great in some areas of the Pacific Northwest. I have a friend who grows watermelons, Tuscan melons (cantalope type), and honey dew types melons (forgot the exact name) They are great, and I hope to grow some next year.
