just bought property in sequim and i got a river boat with a jet drive, i was wondering if anyone knew if i could take the boat on the dungeness river, or if there are restrictions to boats on the river

I think for the most part the rivers over their are protected by being extremely shallow in many areas. What kind of tub did you get?

1995 wooldridge 21' Alaskan Flat Bottom, i can get in 3 inches of water no problem

but does anyone know if its a protected river from gas engines?

I don't believe so but I've fly fished this river for years and Bodo is right,its pretty shallow in most areas.
You might try the the Elwha. Congrats on your new property,the Olympic Peninsula has some of the
most gorgeous country around.

Forget about a sled on the Dungy. Most places you couldn't even turn a 21' sled around.

One other thing to think about when you're out there. Check any streches of river you want to run on foot first and ask locals about it. There are many areas are just not "jet" friendly. You can run there but you might not want to, if you get my drift, wink, wink.

I floated it in a rubber raft as a kid we spent more time carrying the raft than floating.
