Wow, what a nice boat! I love the side bench seats. My Hewes isn't big enough for those and like I have said before, I would love to, and someday will, upgrade to an 18 or 20 footer. Congrats. I take it you traded in your other Hewes? Anyway, it's a beautiful boat. I am sure you will be very happy with it. I’m jealous!

Thanks guys, and Dave you're right, we did trade our "old" Sportsman ('06 with only 54 hours on the big motor) in on this one. Felt weird towing it in and leaving it behind, oh well, when we pick up the new one everything will be normal again.

I went to bills today to price out a new motor and I got to see your new boat, very nice! I told the guy who was showing me around that you posted the picture on here and he said "yeah, aaron just bought a boat through us too". It's pretty cool to see people buying locally built boats. Wish I could "help" our local economy too but that won't be happening any time soon. Congrats on the new boat!

Thanks for posting the pics Phil. It's hard knowing that I bought a new boat and not having any kind of detailed pictures of what it will look like. Externally our boats will look exactly the same, except for the red and black swoosh markings on the side. I requested that they don't put those on mine so I have room for some text and a nice WL logo. If you're going to put the Shark stuff on it before taking out would you mind if I came and watched? I'm interested in doing that to mine as well but only have a vague idea of the process.

Aaron you're welcome to come out and see the Sharkhide application process send me your phone number in a PM and I'll call you before I do it. I didn't name our 16 Sportsman, but I think a 20' deserves one don't you? Told my wife I'm going to name it the "Debra R" (Her name and middle initial). We'll see.:bball:

E - I haven't decided on a shakedown yet, probably won't happen until next weekend if things work out right. Will let you know.

We sign papers tomorrow at 1:30, and if there has been no deicer sprayed pending tonight's forecast snow, I'll be bringing it home. If the roads are sprayed, she'll sit there until the roads are dry.

:thumright =d> Have that Custom dealer:colors: provide a over size ((towing bra as well)):-$ for all road conditions, protection of your product and custom snaps and tie off's as well on the trailer and tub.

Engine towing covers as well even for the kickers motors as wello:)
Very basic stuff for a release of any custom build:thumright

I strongly suggest only of course:cheers: at least 2 batteries, batteries controller switch and system full wash down system with long hose, rear and front working deck lights for 20 reasons why , cutting bait area and release, rear deck cooler clips mounts off the rear transom for holding your goods/fish /food/ice an quick release clips for easy removing if needed using cooler Rear Transom Clips.
Heat system for all your windows.

Front and rear fish/depth finders GPS at the helm.

Trim tabs electric only controls at the helm left and right side

Many rod holder areas, aireated fish box with fresh or salt water feeds and controls area up to 6 big Kings plumbed for you about you:chef:

Downrigger mounts built into the build and structure the list goes on and on to make it productice all choices on these 1 only Custom builds starting with a 250'' bottom to support your integrity.
Will leave all the bottom design, lifting strakes and more for later and other builds coming and why.

Tow safe like riding Custom Scotters/choppers most will not see you and give you the room needed to even park your rig and tub!

: Custom downrigger mounts:-$ in the build not a aftermarket part later and far stronger and lasting in the build:tongue:

Tackle boxes built into the build and storage as well/not sliding rocket launchers in your tub on step running and right now Skippers might have a few Custom ideas as well Good point:-$

Well that settles it hewesfisher. I guess you'll have to send order it up from the factory instead of taking the readily available one. Let me know how that goes, I might have to run down to the Skippers if they have a 20' ProV become available.

None of this personal far from it just showing there are many choices that go into any Custom build:colors: and the owner should be on the design as well each and all.

Choices you make first:-# not add latter have more strength , better personal positioning for the user and a longer lasting value with the purchase but to most like fish it will matter little and thats good as well what you do not understand from doing in many cases will never hurt you.( Truth)

For The 5 percent of guys it does there are so many choices and almost a correct answer on why, where and more for the Person or family needs.

Safetly, hull intregrity and design number 1.
Then all the products to make it a working system in motion.

Love seeing it all= what the average guy does not know most have reduced not added critical materials and products based on mass produced builds and Bottom line $$$ Costs which are impacting all builders to the custom guys to the Cookie cutters.

Here is a 29fter Landing Craft I have helped support from the start and before that starting as one mans dream now close to his reality it will hold 3 big moose, 2 Quads fish many, working tub, fishing, hunting and within 3 months be heading up the North Passage to the Great State of Alaska for big adventures in the big Blue open oceans to the Yukon River and all remote Islands inbetween with a close to a 500 HP turbo Diesel and a massive Hamilton Jet pump.
Locked and loaded with custom choices for 1 mans dream and build.
It will run rivers, lakes larger ones, Ocean's sounds and more and can be beached dropped and gear ran off her as well.

I love watching and looking at all the choices and builds and what there needs will do to the choices it takes to make a great tub lasting Sporting Custom Machine.=d>
