Trailer Question
I just got a new boat/trailer a couple months ago and have been working through a couple kinks. One of them is my trailer. When I throw the truck into reverse, I have to place that key into it's slot which enables me to back it up. I dropped the boat off to get it's initial service and apparently the tech there mentioned I shouldn't have to be doing that. All my previous boats were river boats with simple trailers so this is new to me. After looking this thing over, I realized the reverse lights aren't coming on which tells me the trailer doesn't know it's suppose to be going backwards, locking the brakes up. Any suggestions on what to do would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Trailer Question
where do you live?
wire the connecter to the backup lights on the tow vehicle. if it is, then fix the wire that goes to the tow vehicle's back up lights.
problem fixed.
if you can't do that kind of work, take it to a shop.
