trailer hitch installion

i'm looking at getting a small aluminun boat and trailer from a buddy. does anybody know where i can get a hitch and wiring done on a 2004 ford escape in snohomish county at a good price?

I picked up a used 12' Hi-Laker (fiberglass) boat/trailer/motor package in December and I first needed to get a hitch installed on my 2008 Toyota RAV4. Several friends suggested I at least try U-Haul. I live in North Kitsap and went with their service, in Brownsville, just NE of Bremerton. The price was at the low end of what I anticipated, the hardware appears to be heavy duty, including the wiring, the service was done quickly, the people were great and I wouldn't hesitate to be a return customer.

I know this dealership isn't in Snohomish County, but U-Haul is well worth a call.

Dont know about your area, but check Google or white pages for hitch installers. I know many car dealers also do installations but I suspect they will be on the hi side cost wise.

Uhaul was going to be my choice (if I recall they were reasonably priced), but I found a kit online that was specific for my 98 Tacoma, install was pretty easy. The only difficult part was loosening the bolts for the bumper, it came with a plug in kit for the wiring so that was really easy. If you go that route make sure you get one that is specific for your vehicle make and year so you do not have to modify anything.

I did this as well with two cars, a ford focus and a jeep patriot. the kits both worked great and were just over $100.00 the kits I got are from a company called Curt.
