A little fixing up
A little fixing up
Hi, new poster here. Just bought a 17' Lund over the winter and looking to do some fishing. Here's some pics on my just finished project. The boat's dashboard was badly cracked and faded when we bought it, so I knew it was an issue I wanted to address. Considered just throwing a mat or some carpet over it, but opted to go for replacing it with something that won't crack. Bought a piece of 3/16" aluminum plate, a bit of 5" pipe, patterned and cut the pieces then took to a welder. After getting them back I ground the welds smooth, sanded everything and mounted it on the boat. Turned out pretty nice I think:

It turned out great! Very creative. I like the industrial look for sure. I just finished a year long project and know the pride you take in a job well done!
