Place to take the Grandkids fishing

My two granddaughters are chomping at the bits to go fishing. I just got them new ultra light rods and reels and they can't wait to get out and try them. Shore or dock fishing, any species, just so they catch something. We have been a bunch in AZ, but not up here yet. They are patient fisherfolk and do very well. Live in Thurston County so any close recommendations appreciated.
Also going down to SeaQuest State Park next month (June) and want any advise or recommendations for fishing Silver Lake from the shore.

Welcome. Find your Region in this stocking report and you can see the lakes that received plants and those worth your effort. The stocking reports are cumulative, so you may have to scroll down a ways. I'm not fimiliar with the south end. Hope this helps: http://wdfw.wa.gov/fish/plants/weekly/c080522.pdf KTK

You should take the down to Offut. We take our kids all the time and they limit out and have a blast. It is pretty easy to get to and they have a great dock, rent boats, camping and a lot of other stuff. I would say guarantee they will do great, but you know how fishing goes. They have a website also.
