So here is the deal, I have seen smaller lakes than American lake on Ft. Lewis, I'm on McChord. I am pretty sure you can fish them just dont know how to get to them. I have the boat and can get on Ft. Lewis I just need some direction. If anyone can help me out here there could be a fishing trip to one of these lakes in the future with me. If anyone has any info, like the species of fish that are in these little lakes, or can you have a boat on them or what.

Thanks

Jason :-k

There's a couple of lakes on the back side of Lewis (east gate) right of of SR 507. If you like bass hit up Chambers. I heard there's some pigs in there. And don't forget your down range pass to.:thumleft: Try to copy and paste this link....it might give you a better understanding.

Chambers is a good lake but you really wouldn't need a boat unless its a smaller one. You can pretty much hit the entire lake from the shore. The biggest problem with chambers is the growth around the shoreline and all over the lake. I was just out there about 2 days ago and the water level hasn't gone done yet but once it does theres is going to a lot of weeds and lilly pads to deal with, BUT with that you do have some very decent bass in there. One thing about chamber is that it is a catch and release lake (at least thats what I've been told).
My favorite lake on Lewis though is Sequalitchew by far. It's perfect for a boat and no one is ever out there. It is very very easy to find. If you drive to the North Fort Lewis gate and go to the first light and turn left you will see the lake right in front of you and then you just follow the road around. Right now on the lake it isn't very hot though but the water temp is still pretty cool so everything is still somewhat deep. Well that about everything I know. There is another lake out near chambers called Lewis lake but I have never done very good out there. I've heard a lot of bad things about the lakes health so I've pretty much given up on that one. Well if you ever see a 10.6 BassTender white and grey give me a holler. Later.

Go to the main gate or you can go online and request for one, and it will be ready for you to pick up at the main gate. Knowing how the military (Army) is dealing with paper work. #-o I reckon' you go personal unstead of online.
