Lake Ballinger Bass Fishing?
Still trying to find places to go bass fishing in my little bass buster since moving here from Texas. I stumbled across this lake online... is it any good for bass fishing? Any info about the lake is appreciated!

Look at this for a little information. Is it closed for the winter?

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

I fished this lake 3 times, from a canoe, back in the 1980s and found it to be quite good bass fishing. Hooked several bass up to 17 inches. Most of the bass were caught on Rapalas fished on the surface. The 2007/2008 fishing rules pamphlet shows Ballinger to be open year around at present.
A nice bass is too valuable a resource to enjoy catching only once.

This topo map is a good start. I would fish the north where the river comes in and flip the pads. Cruise down the docks on the westside and be sure to fish the timber laydowns on the southwest side of the Island. Other than that that's all I know.
Keep us posted on how ya do.
