I have 2 friends that moved to Wenatchee this year. I know about Chelan and Entiat. Any nicer smaller lakes to fish in the area?

Antilon up in the foothills about Chelan has always intrigued me. Jameson and Grimes due east are good trout lakes. Watch out for rattlesnakes at all these spots.

Then of course there are all those Alpine lakes in the Cascades if you're able to hike in a ways.

Quincy and Burke are about 30-40 miles east of Wenatchee. Both good fishing and have bank fishing areas.

Ive ran into some snakes in that area. I carry a 22 revolver for that reason. I also use a ski pole to walk with. Thanks for the remind.

There is also Alta, Curlew, and Concunelly just north of there. I grew up with my dad taking me to Jameson (as mentioned above) and it was always lights out for trout. But I believe they had a kill off a few years ago and had to replant. If you want to travel further South then there is the pot holes.

Seep Lakes south of Moses Lake are always fun to fish in March. Not all are open, but hiking through the area is gorgeous.

When does the ice melt enough for a boat? Ive fished the ice many times. Does that guy still rent boats?

My guess is the ice on Fish Lake won't be gone until late March. Scott West owns the Cove Resort and they do rent boats. I believe they rent row boat, 12' to 14' boats with motors and he had a couple pontoon boats for rent. The problem with the late ice ment is WSFG may not be able to stock trout until later in April, but that is just my thought.
