Whitestone lake Okanogan

Post by northfork » Wed Sep 07, 2016 8:56 pm

Decided to take a 6 day fishing expedition in my new Sea Eagle 1 man inflatable fishing machine!
Sonar with bottom vue and GPS, two forward mounted rod holders, electric trolling motor and anchor.
First stop was Omak.
Ran north and fished most of the day at Whitestone lake.
Got a couple of 1.5# largemouths throwing a Senko wacky rigged. Watermelon with red. Nothing on the perch colored Senko.
Wind started to pick up around noon. Switched to pulling a Bluegill 8-9' diving plug on the outside of the weed beds.
Picked up one 3+#er. My biggest so far. No pic with the wind blowing me all over the place.
Caught a few Perch trolling a green Wooley Bugger tipped with a worm.
Off the water at 2 with the wind blowing a steady 15 and gusting higher.
Decided to run to Fish lake and do some shore fishing for Rainbows. Story at Fish lake Okanogan.
Leader lake tomorrow???
Fun day 77 degrees.
