Whitefish Fishing this Time of Year (South Puget Sound)?

Post by hawkoath » Wed Feb 25, 2015 6:11 pm

Does anyone know where whitefish fishing is open this time of year in the South Puget Sound and there is a good chance of catching them?

More specifically....

If you go to what is called, Umptanum Creek recreation area..

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Umtan ... 87548de77f" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If the link doesn't go through, just Google map search. Umptanum Creek recreation area.
This is a input on the Yakima river, along what is called Canyon river road. There is a good amount of area to wade the river. Plenty of Whitefish.

Woops. i thought I had specified the area I am looking at but I guess not. Specifically looking at the lower part of the puget sound region or somewhere around.

I know for a fact that the Green and Snoqualmie, below the falls, both have whitefish in them. However, they are both closed to all fishing at this time. You'll need to run north to the Sky, which will be open for a few more days, for a shot at them.
