Ii have a large fish tank and I was wondering if there was anyway I could get any salmon steelhead or cutthroat to put in there and raise and possibly plant in a local creek/lake I allways wanted to try and start a mini hatcherir program. I live near soos creek so is there any possibility that they would let me raise steelhead/salmon and put them into the creek when the time comes?
Any information is appreciated.
Thanks,
Derrick

i know that some schools have a program called salmon in the classroom, and they pretty much do what you just said they raise them from eggs and then once they get like 6inches long they release them into a creek or river near them that allready has the same type of salmon and then they keep doing it year after year and just keep helping the population but you have to have a chiller and stuff for your tank its kinda spendy

You gotta have a lot of stuff to keep those eggs at just the right temperature and to keep cool, aerated water coming through to them without having any problems cause they are quite delicate. We did it back in 5th grade and once they were big enough (an inch or two long) we put them into a creek...
