Add a definitions/terms for our site. Everyone please contribute!

Being a resurrected fisherman (I fished when I was younger) I really don't know the terms used for some things. Especially trolling. So, it'd be really helpful to those of us who are still learning what "things" are. For example, I've never heard of a "Dick Nite" and wasn't sure what it was (Honestly, I thought it was some sort of fake bait like a worm). I looked it up on the web and found the Dick Nite website and realized I've used them before.

Having a Terms page or a Definitions page would really be helpful. Really, all it would have is just an alphabetical set of links and each letter would be a page where you could put in the terms and their definitions plus any links. In reality, a Wiki would work better, that way we all could contribute and you would only have to keep it functioning.

Cheers.

An excellent suggestion. I wonder if we could get the Forum users to work on this all together and after we have a large enough list we can turn it into a web page? Go ahead everyone, start the list!

How about "Giant Cow Bell?" A 5 blade flasher used when trolling, to attract fish by imitating a school of fish. Attached at the end of the main line, and prior to the leader and lure.
Is this the right idea?

Marc,
Pretty much, but without the joints.

Here's a link to what the Cowbell line of flashers looks like.

I've used them for as long as I've been fishing and I'll be 60 this fall. They work great.
