Western WA Lake for Catfishing at Night with Campfires?

Post by BanzaiDaddy » Wed Apr 25, 2012 1:43 pm

Hello all. Me and my Pops are looking for a place in Western WA to go catfishing at night from the shore, that have campfire rings. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Fished for Rainbows off the dock last weekend at American Lake where some nice folks suggested Hart's Lake in Pierce County?

Best bet would be Swofford pond. I don't know about campfires, but really it's probably the only lake on the west side that would come close to a good bet for fishing for cats. Not very many catfish on the west side.

Stacie Kelsey, ask over on her thread, I recall she has some knowledge on cats in SW WA, where they've been stocked, some population data. I think she really enjoys these sort of questions more so than the legal questions we all seem to toss her direction.
