Regulations on gas/electric motors on lake

Can someone tell me how I can get the exact scoop on whether or not a lake is specificly a "No internal combustion motors lake" or whether it is no motors at all. ( No electric, no absolutely nothing, etc.)
Before you say look in the regs. There are lakes in there which say what the rule is,, and then most all of the lakes listed say nothing. Grant it, the lakes in the regs. are "Special Rules" lakes, i.e. you know, strange things about the hooks, or size of keepers etc.

Sometimes when you are at al boat launch it will say something, but this whole thing is very vague. Who do you suppose I could call?

No internal combustion motors means a gas engine can not be on the boat period, even if it is not being used. You can use electric motors unless the regs state overwize

I understand your question. Not ALL lakes in the regs are listed with that lakes "Motor Rule"

Thanks for your replies, but just for the record, I am totaly clear on the rules regarding what type of motor can be hanging off your boat on what type of lake, etc. I am only looking for a better source of info. telling me which lakes allow which motors. The fishing regs. only mention a few of the lakes and their specifics, but most all of them don't say anything as to motors of either type.
And believe me that doesn't mean if it's not mentioned to power it up.... Lake Ballinger/Greenlake (king co.) both have specifics.
