Great stuff guys. Thanks for all your entries. They are all appreciated.

Just a few days left fellas. It's the 25th of March today and entries are accepted through the end of March, so anyone who has yet to post some photos, you have a few days left. I'm sure Mike has a good little package from the sponsors waiting for the winner....

If you ever post the wrong picture on the forum, you can easily remove it. All you have to do is click on "Attach" and a list of the pictures you previously posted photos will come up. Choose the one you would like to remove and click "delete".

One thing. If you post the wrong photo in a fishing report, once you submit the report, Mike or Aaron are the only ones that can remove them.
Hopefully with the new site upgrade members who pay will get advanced features such as being able to delete their entire account, blocking certain users, blocking PM's/and/or emails from certain users, the ability to delete posts, the ability to delete fishing reports, and modify the pics within those reports, etc. Right now it's bare bones, cut and dry...it works, and it's nice, but there are times where I wish I could delete a report comment on a report I submitted without having to waste Aaron or Mike's time doing this...it would give the paying member (user) more freedom and flexibility in what they could control and manage. I don't think I'll be dissapointed, at least I hope not. =d&gt]

All those things listed are administrative controlled functions. If everyone had that ability, it would be total chaos. There would be people deleting any post they didn't like and going in and altering other peoples posts. There would be no control.

My suggestion would be to make sure you want to post it before you submit a fishing report. The Moderators can help on the forum and the administrators can assist you on the fishing reports.

I don't see how that would be chaos? That might be a little too far...ONLY THE USER would have CONTROL over HIS or HER account and what was linked to that account...you wouldn't be altering other peoples posts, not in the slightest. If someone wanted to delete a post or delete a report comment they should be able to do so without having to contact a mod. everytime...But only the USER would have control over their comments or reports...As always this is just a suggestion, but I don't think it would be "total chaos." It would allow for members to delete a post (or a dozen) that they didn't want up...or a comment they wish they could maybe take back...oh well, it's not that hard to contact a mod. anyway. isn't this suppose to be about pictures veiwing than debating

well, not to stray too far from this thread but..

the upgrade will give users their own photo albums and blogs which they will have full control over. Aaron is coding it that way.

However - the Forum is not Aaron's coding, it's a Forum system he added to the WL.com site. So unfortunately we don't have as much control over it. Plus, Aaron is very nervous about messing around with the Forum code. The last time he did we all lost our saved PMs. He had to go back and was fortunately able to use a backup to fix it. It was a huge amount of work and hassle and could pontentially have caused even worse problems than it did. Which is why we will not delete a user's account and all posts again. One isn't a big deal, but hundreds caused unforseen issues. As he explained to me, all these posts are linked in various ways and when you go in and remove a bunch of them it does create chaos. He didn't know that at the time, but we do now.

If anyone has further questions or comments about this, please move it over to the website requests area so we can get this thread back to pictures for the CONTEST.

Thanks
