I have never heard of or seen a walleye in Clear Lake in Spokane county. However. That is certainly a walley and I'm glad to see it in there. Did they plant some in the lake or is that the doing of a fisherman?

Walleyes have been showing up in Clear and Silver for many years.
One here one there type of thing.
The thing I find surprising is the mistaken idenity.
Walleye 101, they have TEETH Pike Minnow not so much.

Those are actually good picts of a walleye can see the white tip and the scale's and color along with the teeth are a dead giveaway of course catching hundreds of both fish helps alot in its ID

Awesome catch! VERY nice walleye.

As an FYI the current state record northern pikeminnow is also the (IGFA) world record. So if/when anyone ever does catch a new state record pikeminnow keep that in mind.

Here's a sure fire way to tell the difference between a pikeminnow and a walleye. This is very scientific so try to follow along.

Run your hand backward along the dorsal surface from the tail to the head.

Done?

Are you in pain?

Yes = walleye

No = Pikeminnow
