What do you do for your 101st birthday?

Post by Gringo Pescador » Tue Dec 21, 2010 8:01 am

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Only 20 years to go for me.
A nice bass is too valuable a resource to enjoy catching only once.

Very Cool! He could teach a class, "Ice Fishing 101."
Sorry, I couldn't resist.

"This is the greatest sport there ever was, I tell yah." I loved that line in the film, that dude has got it goin' on.

I also like after he lost the first fish when he said, "Ah, just leave me here" lol!

"awww - jUST LEAVE ME HERE" that was fantastic. Reminds me of my grandad. I've got pictures of him with bass and trout from 1910's. My uncle and him were fishing with my dad when he was a baby, and I'll be fishing with my pops when he's oldest and I'll be fishin when I'm 170 thanks to marvels in modern medicine. And that first bass was a biggun too.

I hope to take you out Bob.

Oh oh, I just watched the video - I hope the bass guys weren't listening - "that's a very good eating fish" and he's pointing to a nice 17"+ bass, LOL. :chef:

I wanna be that guy someday, well, 49 years to be exact.

When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

My great grandfather passed away a few years ago at 101 years old. He lived in Fall City and fished steelhead at Tokul Creek till he was close to 90 years old and lived on his own until his passing. If I am lucky enough to make it as long as him I hope to have even half the get up and go he did.

Here's to you Grandpa.:salut: =d> o:)
