Brown Trout

This question is for those of you who target the Brown Trout in Green Lake. What pattern or color of Rapala/ plug will pretty much persuade the elusive Brown to strike?

I've caught them in other lakes on rainbow trout pattern and perch pattern rapalas. black leech flies have been my best though.

For rapalas i like jointed and countowns in gold, perch or firetiger in sizes 3-7, also try shad raps, another really good tactic for browns is to plunk a worm injected with air. Gold castmasters and bouyant spoons also get me a brown or 2 once in a while.

Ok call me dumb but what's a buoyant spoon? As in what does it look like, I use spoons and have never seen one float?

Buoyant spoon is actually the model name of the spoon. It looks like any other spoon and doesn't actually float. Don't ask me why they gave it this name! At least the buoyant spoons I have don't float!
