Winter blues

Post by troutfinatic » Sun Mar 13, 2016 3:03 pm

Something about march, that gets me wanting to fish again.
Oh ya, its the month of pisces. :fish:
This warmer weather has been making it harder to stay inside.
I hope it keeps up. :sunny:
The only thing that keeps me inside is my hands and feet get
so cold in temps below 55 degrees. Frost bite is a condition
for life. [sad] Take care of those hands and feet out there.
Guess I'll have to go over my 2015 fishing log and see if I can
learning anything from last year.
Ive kept a log for about 10 years now and the learning is
slowing down, but there usually is one of two things to learn.
Helps we with what colors to use on certain lakes, and what
weights to use in a month. Plus where the fish are at certain
months. Definitely helps when you forget the fish finder. [omg]
I guess its time to tie some flies. :salut:
Hopefully El-nenieo will bring some bigger stockers and holdovers
for 2016. [thumbup]

We can always dream of bigger :fish: fish!! Sounds like a great idea on logs something I have never thought about doing and might need to start doing. Looks like end of next is going to get to 60 degrees so get ready and go enjoy that sunshine. :sunny: :sunny:

Logs are a great idea. Which is why I recommend posting reports on NWFR. Your log is online and searchable. With the update Aaron is working on this site will behave more like an App so when on the water you'll be able to easily look up past fishing reports, maps , etc. As long as you have an internet phone connection you'll be good to go.

Winter blues? Washington State offers a number of stellar fisheries year round. We have access to trout, salmon, various beach fisheries, clamming, smelt, resident coho, awsome dolly fisheries, surf perch, crab and many other aquatic opportunities to ward off the winter blues. Now I just have to make the time to get out and enjoy them...
