only allowed in certain lakes- Bills boat house at American lake has some stuff there you can go talk to Bill or call him. They sell large jars of spent eggs and juice to mix with a sawdust sort of mixture. Be sure if you use corn to use cream corn only too just an FYI

Things not to use:
Eggs - (or any other bait) cured with sodium sulfite.
Corn - Raw or cooked.
Artificial Baits - Like Gulp and Power Bait.

Things to use:
Chopped earthworms, fish, shrimp and organ meats.
Fish eggs - uncured or plain salt cured, are preferable.

Kokanee Kraze 4 ended the evening with still fishing. He showed his chum. Wheat bran, blood meal, bone meal, oyster shells, rock salt.

Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

Not being argumentative in the least, but I was wondering why no corn?
I was taught to use cream corn but received no info as to why and I would love to learn the whys I can guesse why no power bait to expensive and indigestible but the sodium sulfide and corn interest me ](*,)

As was mentioned, corn is not digestible and can be difficult for the fish to pass.
Sodium Sulfite is toxic to most animals, including fish, dependent on the amount ingested. Might as well throw nitrites in there as well. If you wouldn't eat it because of potential health issues, think about what it would do to a fish which weighs less than 100th of what you do.

No corn because, just like humans, fish can't break it down. Ever wonder why corn looks the same going in as it does out on people? It ends up staying in the fishes stomach forever. Eventually the corn builds up and the fishes stomach cannot fit or process real food bits and the fish starves, with a belly full of undigested corn.
I'm gonna have to go with you're not chewing your food well enough and neither art the fish....

But then there's always the old saying "Corn for texture.".

Egg Juice over corn meal and fine sawdust. Mix in bowl, stuff in an old nylon stocking (Panty Hose for the younger set). Hang it off the boat or dock and come back after a few hours.

Be very careful where you do this. This is straight from the regs.

It is unlawful to chum, broadcast, feed, or
distribute into freshwater any bait or other
substance capable of attracting fish unless
specifically authorized in Special Rules.
Where use of bait is prohibited, or where lures
or flies are used voluntarily, Game Fish may
be caught and released until the daily limit is
retained. If any fish has swallowed the hook or
is hooked in the gill, eye, or tongue, it should
be kept if legal to do so.
It is unlawful to possess or use live aquatic
animals as bait, except:
1. Live aquatic animals (other than fish)
collected from the water being fished.
2. Live sand shrimp.
3. Live forage fish in the Columbia River
downstream of the Rocky Point/Tongue
Point line.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

wow =D> thanks MRNCWS I am starting to get a list of ingredients that sounds like something off the syfy channel. [scared] Gonna get me some mackerel, eggs with their juice, sawdust, rock salt, bone and blood meal, along with some corn meal for flavor and lets not forget texture. [flapper] I will add oyster shells, toss in a couple handfuls of loose salmon eggs and a cup and a half of finely chopped night crawlers add two cups of wheat bran. Add a cup of cottage cheese :-" and a half pound of chopped organ meats [tongue] and give it a try what do you think?
Seriously though these are some great ingredients [thumbsup] thanks so much lets keep the creative juices flowing.. :salut:
