cool so you'll be in a boat then. I will be posted up on the beach. it is supposed to rain all tomorrow per the weather channel I will still be out there gives me something to do rather than sit home.

Unless your targeting a specific spot where trout are active, I would say wwitch to fising for Perch. They bite all year long.
Go small.
Hit the bottom.

I was at Snoho Blackman's lake with the underwater video camera and located 3 large schools of Perch, just off the dying lilies about 50 yards off shore from the boat launch.
Hit'em up fellas.

Green Lake in Seattle has been proven that trout fishing for both Rainbows and Browns during the winter months fruitful. The entire northeast shoreline from 65th Street dock north to the swimming area seem to be best. On American Lake if you do not want to pay Bills Boathouse $4 (usually $3 during winter) there is Harry Todd Park with fairly good docks slightly north of Bills.

I do well in silver lake and blackmans lake for quality to trophy sized rainbows plunking or trolling in winter

I haven't figured out off season perch yet, do ok for them in summer/fall but winter/spring is a struggle for me. I mostly use worm to target them, have tried jigging and swedish pimples but not a lot. Actually easier for me to catch a trout in winter than a perch. I fish in south King, north Pierce county most of the time. I've found similar.... perch in January to early Feb through the ice... then I wait to hit perch on the wet side in Aug-Oct.... Dry side is a bit different, earlier in the summer, warmer water, as early as June. Depends on the body of water! Trout in the winter through Spring, then switch to salmon in summer, some perch in Aug, is my routine.
