Fishing Puyallup with spoons and jigs...

I think I'm ready to give fishing the Puyallup another shot, if I can work my way around the closures which inconveniently fall on my days off, and was wondering the gear, techniques, colors, etc. used by those out there using spoons, spinners or jigs for pinks or coho? I'm not a huge fan of using drift setups and prefer a simpler, straight cast and retrieve with lures... and as always, I'm open to suggestions of where to fish that might not be as crowded; I don't mind driving further or hiking a bit if it gets me away from the densest crowds... especially upriver of the closure area. Thanks,

Chris

C.Elmer i've been personally fishing near the toyota dealership on river road. You can park infront of the dealership on the opposite side of the road a hike in. I've been doing fairly well on pinks and have landed a couple of silvers in there. I saw a guy using a pink plastic worm jig nail about a 12lb silver lastnight. Its not too packed in the morning after 7am and its past the closure hopefully this helps.
