info on rivers that are boatable?

Okay my brother has a boat that I am trying to figure out where we can take it. He isn't much help as far as type of boat. but I know it's a 15ft boat 50hp out board and has about a 2ft draft.

What are some rivers that this boat can handle and where is a good place to launch. This would be somewhere pierce county and south of there, but any other sugestions are good as well.

You can try the Duwamish. I have seen boats as big as a 26 cabin cruiser with a command bridge go as far up as Pacific Hwy. on a high tide.

lower snohomish would be OK, I asume you have a depth finder on board?

Not sure if there's any rivers south of pierce county that the boat could be put into. Blue Creek and the Lewis River might be an option but it's probably too shallow there. I know in the Lewis River there's a bunch of things that stick out fro the bottom of the rivers so you'd have to be careful. Columbia River you'd want a larger motor.

You would be fine with a 50 horse on the Columbia.... You wouldn't go fast but you would get around!
