Hello all, I'm Terence and
I'm headed out with my girlfriend for the first time to fish for some salmon, trout, etc in the Washington Mountains. I was hoping you could help me out... Which of these three would be a great recommendation for a first time salmon fisher, and maybe some tips? I would reall appriecate any help given. I'm not asking for honey holes, just a good start! I'm headed out July 3rd-July 5th. I'll be fishing from the shore! Thanks for your help!

Beach fishing for Salmon takes some good gear. What are you planning on using for rods and reels. Had a Newby show up on the Snake with a 6 foot rod and was way under gunned.
Most folks are using a 8 foot plus rod able to throw close to 8 oz. of anchor to keep the bait in the current.

If you're simply loooking for trout fishing, fish lake has some quality fishing and even boat rentals. Most years lake Wenatchee doesnt even open for salmon fishing. The Wenatchee river may be still open for Chinook, but again im not sure. Good luck.
