Tahuya River.

Im going to be hiking up this river this weekend with my fly rod. I was wondering if anyone on here has any experience with this river

i dont, but if i were headed into the river blindly, i would have 4lb tippet, on a floating line, about 6-7ft of leader. i would be sure to have some royal coachmen flys and some other small dry flies with a yellow belly.

I can tell you that there isn't much room to fly fish IMO. In a few spots there are. But not a lot.

That's just what I was thinking. Theres gotta be some nice cuts up there. Might have to try some hoppers also huh? My father lives on the river a couple miles up from the canal. I never see people up there. I think I am going to go up there and have a blast. Ill let ya know how it goes.

Dewatto and the bays have HUGE SRCs! I catch them all the time fishing for coho with beads.
