I don't do any river fishing with anything other than a fly rod, so the only time I ever use a Dick Nite is trolled behind a Giant Cowbell and usuually tipped with a small piece of worm. It works as well as any other trolling spoon, sometimes better. Here's a website that Dick Nite fans might like to visit.

I was just into Sportsman's Warehouse in Spokane and they are loaded with Dick Nite spoons. No big ones though.
