i bet yarnballs in cascade would work just as well as eggs on some days

yarnies might work for cascade silvers maybe bobber dogged with some eggs or scented up. As longs as your presentation is on the bottom and it looks/smells like eggs, a cascade silver will take it.

I fish yarnies almost religiously. I absolutely love them, and steelhead and salmon (and trout suckers and whitefish) can't stay away! I tie mine very differently though. End results pretty much the same still.

I pulled two summers out if the cow last weekend on them and two kings on the sky. I fished bait to start and when I didn't get anything switched back to yarnies and hit fish. Like I said, I swear by them. ;)

Haha i watched the video of you guys landing those 2 hens, super nice steelhead and i love that little river :-$ . Yarnies can outfish bait, espeically for steelhead, its pretty crazy how good they are
