Kings opening this season?
Can someone tell me if the Kings will open this year on the Sky? I trying to decide if I should cancel my plane ticket or not to come out there the 11th of July. Any help would be great. I heard the water is really low for Steelies.

Low is understating it. Flow is 565. The median is 5500. It's almost dry.
hit it or quit it.

May 7, 2015
The Skykomish River hatchery chinook fishery will not open June 1
Action: Close the Skykomish River to the retention of hatchery chinook salmon.
Effective date: June 1 through July 31, 2015.
Species affected: Hatchery chinook salmon.
Location: The Skykomish River from the mouth upstream to the mouth of the Wallace River.
Reason for action: The forecast run size for Wallace River Hatchery chinook is below broodstock needs. Hatchery rack returns will be closely monitored and if early returns indicate that the run size will meet broodstock needs the Skykomish mark selective fishery will open.
Other information: Trout and other game fish are open as listed in the current Sport Fishing Rules pamphlet.
Information contact: Jennifer Whitney, District 13 Fish Biologist, (425) 775-1311.

I would not travel here to fish the sky, I live on the sky and Im looking to see where I can go fish where there is a little water.
Re: Kings opening this season?
Yep, as others stated.... don't
There is NO water, and no Chinook fishery.
Very dire times, indeed.
