I could be mistaken but i believe even with anti snagging rule, this is still in affect. Hook and line angling only. Barbed or
barbless hooks may be used, and a hook
may be single-point, double, or treble, but not
more than one line with up to three hooks per angler may be used. anti snagging rule does say one single point hook now which it didnt used to.... may have to look into this.... I dont have my lawyer present to interpret regs for me...

Not sure how this would qualify under anti snagging? Especially if your fishing with bait under a float. How would it differ from a mooching rig or spinners with a trailer?

I could be wrong, but seems like the anti-snagging rule is pretty clear when it states "one single point hook". Of course that's my interpretation and I'm no lawyer. It's only the people who try to follow the rules that get tripped up by these laws. I doubt snaggers really care what the rules state.

Meaning what? Doesn't sound to me like floating or drifting two hooks from a boat makes it legal. Only if trolling that gear from a boat. Obviously this goes back to the regs being difficult to interpret. To each their own. Guess if the wardens want to nitpick then we can all sort it out on the river bank. Hopefully most of the wardens have a decent amount of common sense to recognize a snagger from an honest, if not confused, fisherman. Case in point: I had a guy on the Duamish tell me a couple weeks ago that you gotta pinch the barbs on your hook due to the Anti-snagging rule…., but only on spinners and spoons.
To that end, I'm sticking to one hook (barbed where applicable) unless I'm tossing a buoyant lure.

Being in a boat does not make it legal. Buoyant lure or trolling to be legal. That is the way I read it anyways.

The rules say "or" trolling from a floating vessel. Not "and". So it's if fishing a buoyant lure with no added weight on the line......OR.....if trolling from a floating vessel.
