Tagging along with you on the Nooksack

Post by slow_73 » Tue Aug 19, 2014 12:57 am

I am not new to this page but I was not very active either. I had to change my user name cuz I forgot my password lol. Anyway I wondering if anyone on here wouldn't mind a tag along while you beat the bank of the Nooksack? I am not very experienced fishing on the Sack but I am not a beginner either. Hoping to hook up with some good people. I live north of Bellingham and if you do too that would be nice but not required. Oh BTW I sling hardware i.e. spinner, spoons, jigs. (Why does this feels like a singles add?)

are you looking to fish anywhere on the sack? I grew up in lynden and know the lower portion decently. Havent really been up higher but come September if I cant get to the Skagit I am at the nooksack every chance I get. Pulled many nice silvers out last year and will hopefully be doing the same this year! Mostly fish in the lynden or Ferndale area as I live in birch bay, but I am planning on exploring more of the upper reaches this year

@ spoonman pretty funny.

@ spenny1823 okay I live in the bay as well. Lets hook up closer it gets to silver season. Don't know how much time I'll have to fish this fall (planning in moving) but will fish as much as possible.

Personally I've had the greatest success with jigs and brads wigglers, but I'm sure dic nites would do just as good.

@slow_73 sounds good man pm whenever and we can figure it out. I don't start hitting the nooksack hard until late September, but that river can be tricky! hard to say when it really gets going especially on super dry years like this

I live just outside of Ferndale as well...I'm looking for people to tag along with on the banks. I throw almost exclusively spoons but didn't have much luck. I'm pretty new to the whole fishing thing but am not a total newb...just looking to learn some new techniques or fix the ones I've already screwed up.
