pulnking for steelhead
Im going to take my kids pkunking on the snohomish today. We will be at the top of tidal influence. Is it better to fish the incoming tide? Or outgoing.
Re: pulnking for steelhead
Depends on where you are fishing and what the tide level is going to be along with river discharge. You can get fish on either tide depending on the previous mentioned factors. But for the most part I have had better luck plunking the slots on an outgoing tide in the areas that I have plunked.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Re: pulnking for steelhead
Thanks. High tide is about one hour behind Everett up thus high. So 4 o'clock will be high. Gunna get there about 2 and see what happens.
Re: pulnking for steelhead
If it's a strong enough incoming to turn the bait around and get the spin glo spinning you should be good to go.
Hope you get the kids some fish.
Some of my fondest memories are plunking with my grandfather when I was young and playing on the river bank.

Re: pulnking for steelhead
How did you guys do? Kinda hard between runs right now but hopefully at least something for the kids?
Re: pulnking for steelhead
Nada. But it was fun cooked hot dogs and hung out at the river. A little early for steelhead but it beat sitting at home. And got the kids unplugged from their electronics for awhile.
Re: pulnking for steelhead
There is never a true skunk when you get to spend time with your kids, especially fishing. Always fun to get them out and enjoy the simple things in life. Hopefully better luck next time.
