Full length of the Columbia, and most of the Snake and Yakama rivers. Haven't heard anything about the other rivers.

I am not sure of any Western Washington rivers having smallmouth, but any tributary off of the Columbia will have them in it.

Snohomish, Snoq are full of them, both buckets and small. Waterfowl ponds were made just off the Snoq. in the late 70's and after the river flooded them the bass showed up. The ponds are surrounded by private property by miles on all sides so no one stocked them.

I don't know the Stilly well but wanted to repost your question so it wouldn't get burried.

Most of the real good sloughs off the Chehalis are now private and get gain access, those around centralia and chehalis that is.

While I think catch and release is a good practice for large bass on lakes, I think we should keep every bass we legally can from rivers in our state. They aren't good for Salmon and Steelhead smolt.
