Never been there but from a buddies report, use Jigs close to shore, near Tullies, and lily pads and I think you will do ok. Doesn't mean to use only jigs, but I'd start there.

American Lake is heating up too. Bounce grubs along the points for smallies. They are up.

I had some pretty decent catches out on American today. I was using a laser eye red and white spinner bait and I managed to pull a couple of smallies out and they weren't that deep. Maybe 10 to 15 feet.

Well maybe I was a little harsh in my statement. I think I jinxed myself. I wore a golf hat fishing this morning, didn't catch any bass all day, neither did my GF and my best friend. Oh well, better luck next time for all of us.

I fished American Lake with a friend for four hours today. Mixed things up a bit but could only find two trout. We were looking for smallies. The weather was pretty crappie but I'd still rather fish than golf in it

10.5 lb largemouth out of Tanwax in Pierce county. Saw it in Saturday's paper in the lake section. What a monster!

Tacoma News Tribune. I haven't looked for a pic. But there was none in the paper nor was there an article about how it was caught. (Probably a 10 year old with a worm and a bobber as it always is with the monsters)
