A little fish and a big fish I caught this morning in the rain at Sawyer.

Little fish - black spinnerbait in the dark about 5:30 am. 3.1 lbs.

Big fish - Rainbow deep crank after sunup. 6.4 lbs.

Oh ya, check out the rod and real I caught the biggin on - the biggest Bass I've caught on a crankin rod-n-reel. See, I CAN use them.

Waited until light to take a picture before reliasing bass, after catching the big one, decided '"now is a good time for a picture".

Big fish - rainbow crankbait [nope, not a chartruse color either Image in the sunlight - 6.4 lbs. Image
Hey Tom I missed this post before, that 6.4.. is that a new personal best out there then? that's a nice fish! everytime I give up on Sawyer I see another great post from you.

Nope. My best Largemouth is a 10 pound even from - guess - really, guess.

Ok, Ok. Lake SAWYER. Image Back in about '94. I didn't carry a camera in the boat back then so no pictures. Caught it on a crank bait in May.

Gotta go there Sat./tomorrow early, and try to catch that big one that got off a couple/few weeks ago. She'll be back sooner or later. The weather is suppose to be about the same as the day she tried to eat my crankbait. Image

Just been getting little fish lately, but they did seem to be coming up from the depths for a bit. And back in the usual 'big fish' spots.

8lb6oz largemouth caught on May 16, 2009 in the Spokane area. This is the only bass that I have ever kept. I am having a skin mount done of it. Decided to do that instead of a replica for multiple reasons.

Ratherbefishin- Welcome to the site and great catch. Unfortunately, you may not know the size of spoon you brought to this pot. I'm not going to get into the ethics and legalities of keeping fish here. Peoples opinions can make things difficult. I'll just provide you this link for the future. Many of the Muskie guys swear by them. Kinda pricey at $12 inch, but some of the best out there.

Yup, and some people need to keep their opinions to themselves, or share them in an appropriate manner.
